Building the Ann Arbor Community with Linh Song

Building Community is a central part of Linh’s campaign. We know she has what it takes to keep city services running and promote good governance. She has helped lead several nonprofits and currently chairs the board of the award-winning Ann Arbor District Library. However, the nuts and bolts are not the only components to running a successful city. Most residents chose to live in Ann Arbor because of its progressive reputation and welcoming values. Ann Arbor is the home of one of the first human rights commissions and one of the first affordable senior housing developments. It has a rich history in civil rights activism, anti-war demonstrations, and progressive policies.

Ann Arbor does not shy away from difficult issues. We are a community that cares deeply about climate action, affordable housing, and equity. Our council members and their work should reflect our shared values. Linh is committed to laying the groundwork needed to make this happen. These entries highlight Linh’s work in the community and what motivates her to take on these challenges.
